The Dysfunctional Director’s Manifesto that explains why your transformation is stuck in traffic

If your transformation is stuck in the mud, before blaming tools, budgets, or 'resistant employees,' there may be something else to look out for first: The Top.
Frankly, if the entire layer from the C-suite to the team leads isn’t working properly, every issue cascades down like a very expensive and very predictable domino show:
The Dysfunctional Directors Manifesto:
If the leadership team has no vision, then no one knows where to go.
If the leadership team is afraid to decide, the team is stuck in traffic waiting at a red light, going nowhere while the motor is running.
If the leadership team does not deal with issues along the way, the organization will operate like a ship with small leaks. You need a lot of buckets for the water.
If there is no trust in the leadership team, the organization will resemble an immune system attacking itself.
If the leadership team is fighting each other, everyone else is running in circles, exhausting themselves.
If the leadership team doesn't communicate well, teams will operate like ships sailing without a shared map, guaranteeing they reach different destinations.
If the leadership team does not invest in strong relationships, they are trying to build their transformation on sand, where everything sinks instead of standing firm.
If the leadership team does not prepare and enable their teams for a transformation, no one will.
If leadership ignores the bottom-up perspective, your bottom will be covered with pitfalls.
I could go on, but you get the idea… :)
